Job Description

Our client is a full-service regulatory and consulting analytical laboratory that offers our clients a comprehensive panel of services to ensure that their cannabis and hemp products are in full compliance with all regulatory requirements for retail sale. They are located in Rhode Island and would look for a qualified Lab Analyst to assist them with their cannabis testing operations. Our client’s dedicated team of physicians and scientists are working passionately to advance knowledge and understanding of the complex entourage effects of specific cannabinoid/terpene combinations and individual dose sensitivity on user experience.

Duties

  • Sample preparation for Potency, Pesticides, Terpenes, Heavy Metals, Residual Solvents, etc
  • Weighing and recording sample weights.
  • Maintain ISO 17025 standards of performance.
  • Works independently with little guidance as well as provide support and training for others in a team environment.
  • Ensure test equipment is clean, maintained and in good working order.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and sanitary work area.
  • Ensure high quality standards are met through performing calibrations, quality checks, and proficiency programs
  • Maintain an accurate notebook and logbook.
  • Strictly follow all safety procedures and documents.

    Requirements

    • 2 years lab experience (Cannabis knowledge/ lab experienced preferred).
    • GCMS and LCMS experience is required
    • Experience with data analysis and LIMS.
    • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
    • Specific training for ISO 17025 Standard.
    • Hands-on experience with instrument maintenance and trouble-shooting.
    • Experience importing, validating, and exporting electronic data in a variety of formats.
    • Proven organizational and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to stand for long periods.
