Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly advanced Social Media Coordinator to oversee all of their social media and content. Our focus and attention is to create and expand the leading cannabis brand all throughout the state of Michigan. This position will be the main principal of the marketing and branding team; as they will design and build the social media market, bringing foot traffic into their retail stores through social media engagement and community outreach.

Duties

  • Working closely with internal/external creative partners to create compelling content including video, photo and design.
  • Managing all social media channels including Linkedin, Instagram, Facebook, and other relevant platforms.
  • Coordinating with retail teams and the portfolio on marketing calendars and marketing requirements.
  • Measure and report performance of all social activities.
  • Build and maintain influencer, databases and distribution lists, press and relevant potential partner information
  • Manage content calendar for social media programs, ensuring that all posts are ‘on brand’ and focused on increasing reach and engagement.
  • Partner with relevant team members, or outside partners on major product launches or new store launches using traditional and non-traditional media.
  • Creating and managing PR, social media and influencers plans including ideation, concepts, negotiation, outreach, detailed timelines and budgets.
  • Assessing store & brand needs with regular retail store visits.
  • Monitoring & conducting competitive audits.

    Requirements

    • Experience with influencer marketing with a proven ability to manage bloggers and online influencers.
    • A minimum of 2 years as social media coordinator and content creation in CPG
    • A passion for social media with a thorough understanding of new technologies, trends and ways to cut through a cluttered environment.
    • A minimum of 2 years public relations experience working on building awareness through traditional public relations outreach.
    • Exceptional copywriting and copy-editing skills
    • Experience with influencer marketing with a proven ability to manage bloggers and online influencers.
