Our Client is looking for a METRC Specialist to join their growing team in
Harrison Township, MI. As a Cannabis Processing and Manufacturing METRC Specialist, you will be responsible ensuring strict adherence to the METRC (Marijuana Enforcement Tracking Reporting Compliance) system. Knowledge in cannabis processing and manufacturing is not a requirement but will only help in maintaining a METRC compliant facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the METRC system, ensuring all aspects of production comply with state regulations and reporting requirements
- Accurately enter and track data in the METRC system, including manufacturing, packaging, and distribution activities
- Regularly audit and reconcile METRC records with physical inventory to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies promptly
- Maintain accurate and organized records related to cannabis processing, manufacturing, and METRC activities
- Prepare and submit reports required by regulatory agencies related to METRC compliance and production activities
- Ensure all documentation and records are up to date and readily accessible for regulatory audits
- Stay up-to-date with evolving cannabis regulations and make necessary adjustments to maintain compliance in all production processes
- Collaborate with the compliance team to ensure the company's adherence to local, state, and federal laws governing cannabis processing and manufacturing
- Provide training and support to production team members on METRC procedures, compliance requirements, and best practices
- Foster a culture of compliance, safety, and continuous improvement within the processing and manufacturing team
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in cannabis processing and manufacturing, with a strong understanding of various extraction methods and product formulations
- In-depth knowledge of the METRC system and experience with METRC reporting and compliance in the cannabis industry
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
- Familiarity with local and state cannabis regulations and a commitment to staying updated on industry changes
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively
- Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve compliance and operational issues proactively
- Prior experience with auditing and preparing for regulatory inspections is a plus
Schedule and Pay:
- Full-Time
- Monday - Friday 9am-5pm
- Starting pay between $17-22 based on experience
